TRAVEL IN MYANMAR - EXTENSION TO MAWLAMYINE - 5 DAYS

Itinerary :
Yangon - Kyaik Hti Yo - Hpa An - Mawlamyine - Bago - Yangon


Day 1 : Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo

Breakfast.

Depart to Kyaikhtiyo, one of Myanmar’s landmarks, famous for its precious position and religious importance

Lunch at restaurant.

“The head of the Hermit” is an enormous rock gilded with the sheet and a miracle of balance. The Burmese tell that this rock in overhang is held in balance thanks to the hair of the Buddha which the pagoda built at its top contains. Day 2 : Kyaik Hti Yo - Hpa An

Breakfast.

Departure by road (about 1 hour) to Hpa An, the capital of the Karen. Visit the KyaukKalat pagoda, built on a mountainside with stunning views of the lake. Visit a village of 'My' near the monastery called 'Kaw Nat. Visit the monastery of 'KadoBaw Nat', built by a Burmese patriots U Nar August. Lunch at local restaurant.

Visit the monastery of 'Bo Taw' to appreciate his style of colonial construction.

The climb on the hill 'Zawe Ka Pin. From the top the view of the beautiful landscape of this region inhabited by ethnic groups will be appreciated and My Pa O.

Visit ethnic village 'Kayan', called 'Phar Pu.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.



Day 3 : Hpa An - Mawlamyine (MOULAMEIN)

Breakfast.

Early morning, depart by road through the Lower Burma and its green landscapes and villages to Mawlamyine (Moulmein ex), the capital of the Mon.

Lunch at local restaurant.

City tour with the monastery YadanaBommyint (also called Kyaung Seindon Mibaya), founded by a fallen queen of Mandalay, which boasts a magnificent throne carved and inlaid with precious stones.

Sunset on the hills of Mawlamyine.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.



Day 4 : Mawlamyine (MOULAMEIN)

Breakfast.

Visit the Mahamuni Pagoda stops in the Khanty U Pagoda and U Zina Pagoda.
Visit the large market Zaygyi. Drive to the workshops of the traditional village of potters who kept Mupon baking ovens and traditional manufacturing methods and totally homemade.

Lunch at local restaurant.

Road to Hill Yadana (Yadanadaung) for a surprising encounter with the largest reclining Buddha statue in the world (Win Sein Taw Ya) which is 180 meters long, 30 meters high and contains in its labyrinth body, frescoes and statues of human scale representing the stages of the life of Buddha.

Back to Mawlamyine and stop at rocky outcrop Kyauktalone.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.



Day 5 : Mawlamyine - Bago - Yangon

Breakfast.

Departure to BAGO. Full day excursion to the former capital of Pegu (Bego) .She was founded in 573 by two princes my Thaton.

Lunch at local restaurant.
